Musicians from University of Miami Frost School of Music, New World Symphony, and Lynn University are giving a benefit recital to raise support for the victims in Japan.

The Salvation Army will be receiving credit card, cash, or check donations at the recital.

The Salvation Army has relief teams in Japan and have been helping evacuate people from areas affected by the failed nuclear reactors. In addition, the Salvation Army has helped many earthquake victims offering food and shelter.

This event is sponsored by the Salvation Army, Plymouth Congregational Church, Steinway&Sons Gallery Miami, Matsuri, and the UPS Store in Coconut Grove.

There will be a small reception donated by MATSURI following the recital.

If you can't make it to the event, be sure to donate to the Salvation Army! You can text "Japan" to 80888 to donate $10 or go to http://bit.ly/fBXzvT

Thank you everyone who came out to our Pre-APIAH events and helped with our fundraising for Japan.

Hey, AASA!

Get excited! Asian Pacific Islands Night is tomorrow! The fun starts at 6:30 PM and everything is in the UC Patio. Please come check it out. Lots of planning has gone into this event, especially by our chair, Hong-Uyen Hua, and skit director, LK Lau!

Of course, also support the other nights. Caribbean Night is Thursday, and African Night is Friday!

Also don't forget that Morikami is Saturday and our chill kickball day is Sunday. If you signed up for Morikami at out meeting, you should be receiving another e-mail with more details closer to the date.

Hope to see you tomorrow!
